미스 유니버스 단체는 최근 지금까지 18세부터 28세까지 여성에게 참가를 제한하던 출전자의 연령 제한을 철폐했다. 이 변경은 한국 콘테스트 주최자의 다른 자격 요건의 삭제와 함께 콘테스트를 보다 포괄적이고 다양성으로 만드는 것을 목표로 했다. 수영복 경기도 폐지되고 이벤트는 더욱 현대화되었습니다.
